Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer Review

Glamoflauge Heavy Duty ConcealerThis is another product that I use as part of my foundation arsenal. A good concealer (like this one) is extremely important to have as part of your makeup kit. It will allow you to erase any dark spots or blemishes instantly.

Marketing Claim

According to the Hard Candy website this is

A heavy duty, highly pigmented, blendable concealer that provides the ultimate coverage. Create a flawless surface by covering birth marks, freckles, dark circles and even tattoos!

What it Does

This is advertised as heavy duty and they are not joking. When you first start using this there will be a bit of a learning curve on how much you should use. Glamoflauge is super thick! Use a quarter as much as you would with your normal concealer. The coverage is very buildable so you can always add more as needed. You will want to add powder to keep the concealer in place since it tends to be slightly on the chalky side.

Glamoflauge comes in 3 shades, light, medium and tan, so snag whichever one is closest to your complexion. It is a bit on the greasy side so be very careful to start with only a tiny bit.

A concealer pencil is included with your purchase. This pencil is tiny but has a lot of uses. It is prefect for very tiny blemishes or the lower water line for a nude eyeliner.

As far as covering up tattoos, as long as you do not have a full sleeve or something crazy, this actually works pretty well depending on location. Use the included pencil to trace over the lines of the tattoo and then use the concealer to fill in. The trickiest part will be to match the surrounding skin coloring.

Worth the Price?

I consider this a must have for my makeup case and right around $6 at Walmart for a concealer and pencil you can not really go wrong. At .71 oz and how little you need, this will last you for months or even years. It does take some time to get blended in correctly so if you do not actually need something this thick or if you tend to be more in a hurry, I would go with a different concealer.
